Can I juice fast ‘too much’?

Yes. If you fast for more than 3-4 consecutive A days in a row, you are creating a fat and protein deficiency. When we juice, we don’t generally have those two essential macro nutrients in our juices. Essential nutrients like these are not manufactured by the body and the deficit can cause things like dry skin, hair loss, and all kinds of issues that can lead to serious diseases, unhealthy conditions, and concerns. Healthy fats are really important for everything from the integrity of your cell walls to mental brain function and proteins are essential for the building blocks of your hormones, the support of your organs, brain function, muscular function, etc. Therefore, because fats and proteins fall into a huge deficit during juice fasts, we do not recommend juice fasting for extended times.
